How to cheat on Edpuzzle, and why skipping is not the trick
Most students who search how to cheat on Edpuzzle want two things: to get through the video and to get the questions right. Skipping is a setting your teacher controls, and we give no way around it. The questions are where help counts, and the low-risk way is to see the answer on the question card and still answer it yourself.
- Whether you can skip ahead is your teacher's call, through the "prevent skipping" setting.
- The questions stop the video, and your answers go to your teacher.
- Answer keys posted online are usually for someone else's lesson.
- Console scripts and bookmarklets run code on a page you are signed in on, and break when the site changes.
- A show-only extension puts the answer under the question and leaves the clicking to you.
Our pickCanvas Quiz Solver now works on Edpuzzle questions. It shows the answer under the question that stops the video, in the same tab, and you tick or type it and submit it yourself. It does not skip or speed up the video.
How to cheat on Edpuzzle: the short answer
An Edpuzzle lesson is a video with questions your teacher added. The video stops on each question, and you answer before it goes on. So most students who look up Edpuzzle cheats want one of two things: to get through the video faster, or to get the questions right without pausing to look everything up.
The honest answer has two parts. First, skipping is not a trick we can give you: whether you can skip ahead is a setting your teacher picks, and this guide does not tell anyone how to get past it. Second, the questions are a different story. That is where a tool that shows the answer on the question card helps, while you still pick and submit the answer yourself.
This guide goes through what students try, what each one asks of you, and where the line is. It is for students 13 and older. If you want the answer under each question right now, see our Edpuzzle answers page.
Can you skip Edpuzzle videos?
This is the most searched Edpuzzle question, so here is the plain answer: your teacher decides. Edpuzzle lets a teacher turn on "prevent skipping" for a lesson. When it is on, the video plays through, and that is how your teacher set the assignment.
We do not give steps to get around that setting, and Canvas Quiz Solver does not do it either. It does not skip the video, change the playback speed or mark the video as watched, and it does not remove "prevent skipping".
If a video is a real problem for you, for example a slow connection or a reason you need captions or more time, ask your teacher. They decide how the lesson is set up.
The Edpuzzle tricks students try
Search Reddit, GitHub or YouTube for Edpuzzle cheats and the same few kinds of trick come up. The table puts each kind next to what it asks of you and whether it fits your lesson.
| Trick | What it asks of you | Fits your questions? |
|---|---|---|
| Skip and speed scripts | Pasting code into the browser console to change the video player, against a setting your teacher chose. We give no steps for this. | No. It does nothing for the questions. |
| Answer bookmarklets and console scripts | Running code you may not be able to read on a page you are signed in on. | Sometimes, until the site changes and the script breaks. |
| Answer keys and shared docs | Finding a key for your exact lesson and trusting it. | Only if it was made from the same lesson as yours. |
| ChatGPT or Google in a second tab | Copying each question out, describing any picture, and carrying the answer back. | Yes, if you copy it right. Pictures are hard to describe. |
| Asking a friend in the same class | A friend who did the lesson first, and the same questions. | Often, if your teacher gave you both the same lesson. |
| Answer shown on the question card (Canvas Quiz Solver) | One click on the extension icon. No code, no second tab. You read the answer and enter it yourself. | Yes. It reads the question on your screen: multiple choice, "select 2" and open-ended, pictures included. |
We describe kinds of trick, not specific scripts. We do not link or rate any script.
Answer keys
Search results for Edpuzzle answers are full of keys, flashcards and shared docs. A key can be right for the lesson it came from. But a teacher can build a lesson with their own questions, so a key from another class, another school or last year may answer questions you do not have.
A second tab with ChatGPT
This works, but it is slow. Each time the video stops, you copy the question, switch tabs, paste it, describe any picture in words, wait, and come back. On a long video with many questions, that adds up.
Open-ended questions
Multiple choice is a click. Open-ended questions are the slow part: a box where you write a sentence or two about the video. A written answer to read helps you get the facts right, but put the answer in your own words when you type it. It is your answer, and your teacher reads it.
Canvas Quiz Solver shows a written answer under an open-ended question. It never types into the box for you.
The answer shown on the question card
Every trick above sends you somewhere else for the answer, or asks you to run code on the page. Canvas Quiz Solver is a Chrome extension that does neither. It reads the Edpuzzle question on your screen and shows the answer right under it, and you stay the one who answers.
How it works on Edpuzzle, in 3 steps:
- Add Canvas Quiz Solver to Chrome on your laptop. It is the same extension Canvas students use.
- Open your lesson on edpuzzle.com and click the extension's toolbar icon once. Answers turn on in that tab.
- When the video stops on a question, read the answer under it, then tick or type it yourself and press Submit.
It does not skip or speed up the video. It ticks, types and submits nothing on Edpuzzle.
- No second tab. The answer is in the tab you are already in.
- No copying. It reads the question card, and pictures in the question too.
- "Select 2" questions get both answers.
- Open-ended questions get a written answer you read and type in yourself.
- You stay in control. You read the answer, compare it with yours, and submit at your own pace.
It works on the multiple choice and open-ended questions that stop the video on edpuzzle.com lessons. Answers come from AI and can be wrong, so check the ones that count. Nothing here promises a grade.
It is the same account and plan as on Canvas, Wayground (formerly Quizizz), IXL and McGraw Hill. You get free answers to try, and Unlimited is $14.99 a month or $48.99 for a 4-month semester. New to it? See how to use it. On a site we do not read yet? Snap the question.
What students ask about cheating on Edpuzzle
The same questions come up again and again. Here are plain answers.
- "How do I skip an Edpuzzle video?" If your teacher turned on "prevent skipping", you do not; that is the assignment. We give no way around it, and our extension does not skip.
- "Can I speed up an Edpuzzle video?" Our extension does not change the speed. Scripts that do are a different kind of tool, covered in our Edpuzzle hacks guide.
- "Is there an Edpuzzle answer finder?" Canvas Quiz Solver reads the question card on your screen and shows the answer under it. It does not look up a key.
- "Does it work on a school Chromebook?" Only if your school lets you add extensions. That is your school's setting, and this guide does not cover ways around it.
Common questions
Can you skip an Edpuzzle video?
Your teacher decides. If your teacher turned on "prevent skipping", the video has to play through, and this guide gives no way around that. Canvas Quiz Solver does not skip the video, change the speed or mark it as watched.
How do you get answers on Edpuzzle?
Add Canvas Quiz Solver to Chrome, open your lesson on edpuzzle.com and click the extension icon once. When the video stops on a question, the answer shows under it, and you tick or type it and press Submit yourself.
Does it work on open-ended Edpuzzle questions?
Yes. It shows a written answer you can read, and you type your own answer in the box. It never types or submits for you.
Can my teacher see my Edpuzzle answers?
Yes. Your answers go to your teacher, who set up the questions in the lesson. The extension does not change what you submit or what Edpuzzle records.
Are Edpuzzle answer keys online real?
Some are real for the lesson they came from. A key is usually made for someone else's lesson, so if your teacher's questions differ, the answers do not fit. An answer read from your own question card does.
Is pasting a script into the console safe?
Code you paste into the console runs on the page you are signed in on, so only run code you can read and trust. Scripts also break when the site changes. Our Edpuzzle hacks guide compares the kinds of hack.
