Khan Academy algebra and geometry answers, inside the exercise
Canvas Quiz Solver shows Khan Academy math answers under the question you have open: algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry and more. You enter the answer and click Check. For students 13 and older. Below the setup, the skills students search most each get a worked method with made-up numbers.
Canvas Quiz Solver reads the Khan Academy math question on your screen, with its fractions, exponents and roots, and shows the answer under it in exercises, quizzes, unit tests and course challenges. It reads number boxes, math input, drop-downs and multiple choice. You enter the answer and click Check yourself. It stays off on proctored pages.

How it works on Khan Academy math
Three steps, and you stay the one who answers.
- Add Canvas Quiz Solver to Chrome. It is free to add, and you get free answers to try it on a real question.
- Open a Khan Academy math exercise and click the extension icon once. Answers turn on in that tab. Tap "Keep it on for this site" in the popup so it is on next time.
- Click the small icon under the question. The answer shows right under it. Enter it in Khan Academy and click Check yourself. With discreet mode off, you get a Get Answer button instead of the icon.
The honest limits: the extension does not enter answers or click Check. It is off on proctored pages. Answers come from AI and can be wrong, so read each one.
What the extension reads in Khan Academy math
Khan Academy math is mostly a question with math in it and a box to fill or a choice to pick.
Canvas Quiz Solver reads the math as Khan Academy shows it, including fractions, exponents and square roots, and the answer choices or boxes under it. The card gives the value, the expression or the choice to enter. Graphs and number lines are not promised yet.
The methods below use made-up numbers. They are not Khan Academy questions, and your numbers will be different, so follow the steps.
Algebra 1: the midpoint formula
Average the x values and average the y values: M = ((x1 + x2) / 2, (y1 + y2) / 2).
The midpoint sits halfway along the segment, so each coordinate is the average of the two endpoints. Keep the signs: adding a negative coordinate is subtracting.
Khan Academy also asks it backwards: you get one endpoint and the midpoint, and you find the other endpoint. Then each missing coordinate is 2 × midpoint − known endpoint.
Find the midpoint of the segment from (−4, 7) to (6, −1).
Check: 1 is 5 units from −4 and 5 units from 6.
M(−1, 3) is the midpoint of AB, and A = (2, 5). Find B.
Check: the midpoint of (2, 5) and (−4, 1) is (−1, 3).
Common input mistake: subtracting the coordinates instead of adding them. The midpoint formula adds; the distance and slope formulas subtract.
Algebra 1: manipulating formulas
Treat the letter you solve for as the unknown and every other letter as a number; undo operations in reverse order.
To solve a formula for one variable, use the same moves as in an equation: subtract what is added to it, then divide by what multiplies it. Do the same thing to both sides each time.
When the variable you need sits in two terms, factor it out first.
Solve P = 2l + 2w for w.
w = P/2 − l is the same answer written another way.
Solve v = u + at for t.
The parentheses matter: (v − u) / a is not v − u/a.
Common input mistake: typing (v − u)/a without the parentheses. Khan Academy reads v-u/a as v minus u/a, so put the top in parentheses.
Algebra 1: systems of equations with graphing
The solution of a system is the point where the two lines cross; you can find it exactly by setting the equations equal.
On a graph, read the crossing point and check it in both equations. When both equations are in y = form, set the right sides equal, solve for x, then put x back into either equation to get y.
Parallel lines (same slope, different intercept) never cross: no solution. The same line twice: infinitely many solutions.
Solve the system y = 2x − 1 and y = −x + 5.
Check in the second equation: −2 + 5 = 3.
Common input mistake: giving only x. A system asks for a point, so enter both coordinates.
Algebra 1: slope-intercept form from two points
Find the slope from the two points, then use one point to find b in y = mx + b.
Slope is m = (y2 − y1) / (x2 − x1), subtracting in the same order on top and bottom. Then put one point into y = mx + b and solve for b.
Write the equation of the line through (1, 3) and (4, 9) in slope-intercept form.
Check with the other point: 2(4) + 1 = 9.
Common input mistake: flipping the order on the bottom, which flips the sign of the slope. If you start with y2 on top, start with x2 on the bottom.
Algebra 1: factoring quadratics, intro
For x2 + bx + c, find two numbers that multiply to c and add to b.
List the factor pairs of c, then pick the pair whose sum is b. If c is negative, the two numbers have opposite signs; if c is positive and b is negative, both are negative.
Factor x2 + 7x + 12.
Multiply back to check: x2 + 4x + 3x + 12.
Factor x2 − 2x − 15.
The bigger number takes the sign of b.
Common input mistake: a sign slip such as (x + 5)(x − 3), which multiplies out to x2 + 2x − 15. Multiply back before you click Check.
Algebra 2: exponentials and logarithms
logb(a) = c means bc = a: a logarithm is the exponent.
To rewrite an exponential equation as a logarithm, the base stays the base, the exponent becomes the answer of the log, and the result goes inside the log.
To evaluate a log, ask: what power of the base gives this number?
(a) Rewrite 25 = 32 as a logarithm. (b) Evaluate log3(81). (c) Solve 10x = 1000.
log with no base written means base 10.
Common input mistake: swapping the base and the result, as in log32(2) = 5. The base of the power is the base of the log.
Algebra 2: function domain in word problems
The domain is every input that makes sense in the story, not every real number.
Ask what the input counts or measures. Counts of people or tickets are whole numbers. Time and length cannot be negative. A limit in the story (a full tank, a sold-out show) sets the largest input.
A school sells tickets for $8 each, and the hall holds 50 people. C(n) = 8n is the money from n tickets. What is a reasonable domain?
Not 0 ≤ n ≤ 50 for all real n: nobody buys 2.5 tickets.
Common input mistake: giving the range (the money, from $0 to $400) when the question asks for the domain (the tickets).
Geometry: solve for an angle in a right triangle
Pick the trig ratio that uses the two sides you know, then use the inverse function.
SOH CAH TOA: sine is opposite over hypotenuse, cosine is adjacent over hypotenuse, tangent is opposite over adjacent. With the ratio known, the angle is sin−1, cos−1 or tan−1 of it. Set your calculator to degrees.
In a right triangle, the side opposite angle A is 5 and the hypotenuse is 13. Find angle A to the nearest tenth of a degree.
The other acute angle is 90° − 22.6° = 67.4°.
The legs next to and across from angle B are both 7. Find angle B.
Equal legs always give 45°.
Common input mistake: a calculator in radians, which gives 0.39 instead of 22.6. Khan Academy asks for degrees unless it says radians.
Why answer lists do not match your Khan Academy question
A posted list answers someone else's question.
Teachers can set an assignment to give each student a different question set (Khan Academy teacher help). Even when the skill matches, one changed number changes the answer: if your endpoints are (−4, 9) and (6, −1), the midpoint is (1, 4), not the (1, 3) from the example above.
Format matters too. Khan Academy's help says a right answer can be marked wrong when it is typed without parentheses, for example 1/2p instead of 1/(2p), or with square brackets where parentheses are needed (Khan Academy on entering expressions).
Where it stays off
It is off on proctored pages: LockDown Browser, Respondus Monitor, Proctorio and Honorlock.
The extension does not run there, and it gets around nothing. For what your teacher sees in Khan Academy reports, read how to cheat on Khan Academy, and what teachers see. On a site we do not read yet? Snap the question.

Khan Academy math answers: common questions
Does it show Khan Academy algebra 1 answers on unit tests?
Yes, on exercises, quizzes, unit tests, course challenges and mastery challenges, unless the page is proctored. Answers come from AI and can be wrong, so read each one before you click Check.
Does it read Khan Academy math input boxes?
Yes. It reads the math in the question, including fractions, exponents and roots, and it reads number boxes, math input boxes, drop-downs and multiple choice. The answer card shows what to enter; you type it and click Check yourself.
What about graphing questions?
Graphs and number lines are not promised yet, because we have not checked them on live Khan Academy pages. Use the worked methods on this page for those, for example solving a system algebraically to find the point where the lines meet.
Why does Khan Academy mark my right answer wrong?
Often it is the format. Khan Academy's help says to use parentheses to show what goes together, for example 1/(2p) instead of 1/2p, and to type parentheses where a hint shows square brackets.
Is there a Khan Academy algebra 1 answer key?
Not one that matches your screen. Teachers can give each student a different question set, so a posted list rarely fits. The methods here work with any numbers.
Is it free?
You get free answers to try it on a real Khan Academy question. Unlimited answers are $14.99 a month, or $48.99 for a 4-month semester plan.
