Google Forms quiz answers, right under each question
Canvas Quiz Solver shows an answer under each question of a Google Forms quiz, on the form's own page. You pick or type it and submit the form yourself.
An answer under every Google Forms question
No copying questions into a chatbot, no digging through the page source.
Canvas Quiz Solver reads each question of the Google Forms quiz on your screen and shows an AI answer right under it.
Discreet mode is on by default: a small icon sits under each question, and the answer shows only when you click it. Turn discreet mode off in the popup and you get a Get Answer button instead. On a form with several sections, each new section gets its own answers when you click Next.
When we opened a self-marking Google Forms quiz on 2026-10-26, its answer key was not in the page (our test). So the extension does not look for one: it answers each question with AI. Answers can be wrong, so read them like a second opinion, and you are the one who picks and submits.
How it works on Google Forms, in three steps
About a minute: add the extension, open the quiz, click the icon once.
-
Add Canvas Quiz Solver to Chrome on your laptop
It is the same free extension Canvas students use. Pin it so the icon stays in your toolbar.
-
Open the Google Forms quiz
Use the link your teacher shared, at docs.google.com/forms, or open the page the form sits in, such as a Canvas page or a school website.
-
Click the extension icon once
Answers turn on in that tab at once. Tap "Keep it on for this site" so it is on next time. Click the small icon under a question, pick or type the answer, and submit when you are done.
The Google Forms question types it reads
This is what the extension reads on Google Forms today.
Reads
- Multiple choice and true or false
- Checkboxes
- Drop-downs
- Short answer and paragraph
- Multiple choice grids
- Checkbox grids
Pictures
Items with a picture in the question or in the choices are read with the picture.
Not yet
Date, time and file upload items. Name, email and class period boxes are skipped on purpose.
Locked mode, proctored pages and embedded forms
It stays off where it should, and it gets around nothing.
Locked mode on school Chromebooks
Google's locked mode runs quizzes on Chromebooks managed by a school. Google says students cannot use other apps there, some extensions are turned off, and the teacher gets an email if a student exits the quiz or opens another tab (Google on locked mode). The extension does not work in locked mode. It also turns off on proctored pages (LockDown Browser, Respondus Monitor, Proctorio, Honorlock).
Forms inside another page, turn it on once
A form can sit inside a school website, a Canvas page or another page. The first time, click the extension icon on that page and pick Turn on for Google Forms in the popup. The answers show in the form right away. A question without an icon? Snap the question.

Questions about Google Forms answers
How do I get answers on a Google Forms quiz?
Add Canvas Quiz Solver to Chrome, open the quiz and click the extension icon once. Answers turn on in that tab, and the popup offers "Keep it on for this site". Click the small icon under a question to see the answer, then pick or type it yourself.
Does it work in Google Forms locked mode?
No. Locked mode runs on school-managed Chromebooks, and Google says some extensions are turned off while the quiz is open. The extension does not work there and does not try to.
Does it fill in or submit the form for me?
No. The answer shows under the question. You pick the choice or type the answer in the form, and you click Submit yourself. It never fills in, checks or submits anything.
Does it work on a form inside my school's website?
Yes. The first time, click the extension icon on that page and pick "Turn on for Google Forms" in the popup. The answers show in the form right away, and you do this one time. Locked mode and proctored pages stay off.
Which question types does it read?
Multiple choice, true or false, checkboxes, drop-downs, short answer, paragraph, multiple choice grids and checkbox grids, including items with a picture. Date, time and file upload items are not read yet.
Can my teacher see that I use it?
A plain Google Forms quiz shows your teacher your answers, your score and, if collected, your email. Locked mode and proctor add-ons can report tab switches. Our guide on whether Google Forms can detect cheating covers each case.
Is it free?
You can add it free and try it with free answers. Free answers can run out mid-assignment. Unlimited is $14.99 a month or $48.99 for a 4-month semester.
