ALEKS answers, right inside your topic
Canvas Quiz Solver shows ALEKS answers under each problem, in the same tab. It reads ALEKS math and chemistry problems, tables and graph prompts, and you type the answer into ALEKS yourself. Works in Learning mode, assignments and Knowledge Checks (beta).
ALEKS answers show up under each problem
An AI solver for ALEKS that works where you already are: the topic page.
Canvas Quiz Solver reads the ALEKS problem on your screen and shows an AI answer right under it.
ALEKS draws its math with its own editor, so copying a problem into a chatbot means retyping every exponent and fraction. Here nothing is copied. The extension reads the problem as ALEKS shows it, with your own values, and the answer card appears below.
When ALEKS gives you the next problem, it gets its own answer. For ALEKS math answers, the card gives the expression or number to type. For a table, it reads the rows. For a graph problem, it lists the points or the shape to draw.
Answers come from AI, so read them like a second opinion from a smart classmate. They can be wrong, and you are the one who types and submits.
How it works on ALEKS, in three steps
About a minute: add the extension, open an ALEKS topic, then turn it on for ALEKS once.
-
Add Canvas Quiz Solver to Chrome on your laptop
It is the same free extension Canvas students use. Pin it so the icon stays in your toolbar.
-
Open your ALEKS topic or assignment
Go to Learning mode, an assignment or a Knowledge Check the way you always do.
-
Click the icon, then "Keep it on for this site"
Allow the one Chrome prompt. The answer shows under the problem. Type it into the ALEKS answer box and submit.
ALEKS math answers, chemistry, tables and graphs
ALEKS problems are typed math, not multiple choice. This is what the extension reads today, in beta.
Reads Beta
- Expressions
- Exponents
- Fractions
- Units and measurements
- Tables in the problem
Graph problems
The card lists the points or the shape to draw. You draw it with the ALEKS graph tool.
Not yet
Some drawing tools, for example structure drawing in chemistry.
Off on purpose: LockDown Browser, Respondus and placement pages get nothing.
Where it helps most
Learning mode is where you fill your pie, one topic at a time.
ALEKS counts a topic as learned at 5 points: one point for each right answer, one point off for each wrong one (ALEKS student guide). An answer under the problem saves the trips to a second tab and the points lost to a typo in a chatbot prompt.
It works on Knowledge Checks too, but think before you use it there. A Knowledge Check decides what ALEKS counts as mastered (ALEKS on Knowledge Checks), and only the topics you have not mastered are left to learn. Our ALEKS knowledge check guide explains how the pie changes.

You stay in control: not an ALEKS bot, on purpose
It shows you the answer and stops there. Nothing is typed into ALEKS, clicked or submitted for you.
It shows, you type
The answer appears under the problem. You type it into the ALEKS answer editor with its own buttons, the same way you would without it.
Nothing runs on its own
An ALEKS answer bot or auto solver works through topics by itself. If it gets one wrong, you lose the point before you see it. Here every submit is yours.
You can check it
Because you read each answer before you type it, you catch the odd one that looks off, and you learn the method on the way to the Knowledge Check.
Where it does not run
It stays off on proctored ALEKS work and placement tests. It gets around nothing.
LockDown Browser, Respondus and placement
ALEKS can require Respondus LockDown Browser, with or without the webcam, for quizzes, tests and Scheduled Knowledge Checks, and LockDown Browser is also part of ALEKS PPL placement assessments (ALEKS and Respondus FAQ). On those pages nothing shows, and the popup says Not available on proctored exams. More in can ALEKS detect cheating and does LockDown Browser record you.
Some drawing tools
Some ALEKS drawing tools, for example structure drawing in chemistry, are not supported yet. On those it shows one quiet line: This question type isn't supported yet. Graph problems work: the card lists the points or the shape, and you draw it.

Why not Quizlet, Photomath or a ChatGPT tab?
Because ALEKS problems are adaptive typed math with your own values, and a second tab means retyping all of it.
ALEKS answer keys and Quizlet sets
ALEKS Knowledge Checks are adaptive, and problems come with their own values. An ALEKS answer key from last term often shows the right method with the wrong numbers.
Photomath or a chatbot tab
You retype or photograph the problem, wait, and carry the answer back. Exponents, units and tables get lost on the way, and one wrong character costs a point.
The answer in the page
Canvas Quiz Solver reads your version of the problem where it already is, with your values, and shows the answer under it.

Questions about ALEKS answers
How do I get answers on ALEKS?
Add Canvas Quiz Solver to Chrome, open your ALEKS topic, click the extension icon and tap "Keep it on for this site". Each problem then shows an AI answer under it, in the same tab, and you type it into ALEKS.
Is there an ALEKS answer key?
Not one that matches your problems. ALEKS Knowledge Checks are adaptive and problems use their own values, so a shared answer key rarely fits your version. Canvas Quiz Solver answers the problem on your screen.
Does it work on ALEKS knowledge checks?
Yes, in beta, unless the check runs in LockDown Browser or Respondus. It helps most in Learning mode: help on a Knowledge Check marks topics as mastered, and those topics leave your learning path.
Does it type the answer for me?
No. It shows the answer under the problem, and you type it into the ALEKS answer editor and submit it yourself. It never types into ALEKS, clicks or submits anything.
Does it work on the ALEKS placement test?
No. It is off on ALEKS placement tests and on any page in LockDown Browser or Respondus. There the popup says "Not available on proctored exams."
Does it work for ALEKS chemistry and math?
Yes, in beta. It reads typed math problems with expressions, units, exponents and fractions, and tables. For graph problems it lists the points or the shape to draw. Some drawing tools, for example structure drawing in chemistry, are not supported yet.
Is it an ALEKS AI solver or a bot?
It is an AI solver that shows answers, not a bot. It reads the problem and shows the answer under it. It does not work through topics on its own, so every answer you submit is one you typed.
Is it the same subscription as Canvas?
Yes. One account and one plan cover ALEKS, Canvas quizzes and McGraw Hill Connect and SmartBook.
Is it free?
You can add it free and try it with free answers. Free answers can run out mid-assignment. Unlimited is $14.99 a month or $48.99 for a 4-month semester.
