FastSolve vs Canvas Quiz Solver: two ways to get ALEKS answers
FastSolve is a paid Chrome extension that fills in answers when you double-click a question, on ALEKS and many other sites. Canvas Quiz Solver shows the ALEKS answer under the problem and leaves the typing to you. Here is how the two compare, from FastSolve's own pages and our own limits.
FastSolve fills in answers for you on ALEKS and many other sites, from $9.99 a week or $19.99 a month, and markets display modes for proctored exams. Canvas Quiz Solver shows the answer under each typed ALEKS problem, you type it yourself, and it stays off on LockDown Browser, Respondus and placement tests.
- FastSolve types into the page; Canvas Quiz Solver shows and you type.
- FastSolve says it works on the ALEKS placement assessment; we are off there.
- FastSolve says it handles chemistry structures; we do not support structure drawing yet.
- Canvas Quiz Solver: $14.99/month or $48.99 per semester.
Our pickCanvas Quiz Solver works on ALEKS (beta): Knowledge Checks, Learning mode problems and assignments. The answer shows on the page and you stay in control.

FastSolve describes itself on its homepage as an AI Chrome extension: you double-click a question and it "fills in the correct answer". Its Chrome Web Store listing shows 5,000 users, version 3.3.15 and an update on October 7, 2026.
- Where it runs: its site names Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, Schoology, ALEKS, Knewton and Learnosity, plus a longer list of homework sites.
- How it answers: it says the answer "is filled into the input field with native browser events", so the site registers it "as if you typed it yourself".
- Models: it says it routes questions to Gemini Flash, Claude or GPT-4o depending on the subject.
- Display modes: it offers three modes, and its homepage pitches two of them for "in-person proctored exams" and "proctored screenshare exams".
FastSolve on ALEKS
FastSolve has an ALEKS page. It says FastSolve solves "ALEKS topics, knowledge checks, and initial placement", that it handles "chemistry structures", and that it "fills the input" in the ALEKS equation editor. We did not test FastSolve, so these are its claims, not ours.
Two of them are where the products split. The ALEKS placement assessment is a school test, and schools can proctor it with Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor (ALEKS and Respondus FAQs). Canvas Quiz Solver is off on placement tests and on LockDown Browser and Respondus pages. And Canvas Quiz Solver does not support structure drawing in ALEKS chemistry yet; we say so on our ALEKS chemistry page.

How Canvas Quiz Solver works on ALEKS
- Add it to Chrome. It is free to add, and you get free answers to try it.
- Open your ALEKS topic. A Learning mode problem, a Knowledge Check or an assignment.
- Read the answer card under the problem, then type it into the ALEKS answer editor and submit it yourself.
It reads typed math problems (expressions, units, exponents and fractions) and tables. For graph problems it lists the points or the shape to draw. It is off on LockDown Browser and Respondus pages and on ALEKS placement tests, and it gets around nothing. Answers come from AI and can be wrong, so you read each one before it counts.
Why show instead of fill in? You see every answer before ALEKS does, and a wrong one never goes in without you. Full details on ALEKS answers inside the page, plus worked methods for ALEKS math and ALEKS chemistry.
Which one fits you
- Pick FastSolve if you want a tool that types the answer for you and you accept its claims untested.
- Pick Canvas Quiz Solver if you want the answer on the page, want to type and check it yourself, and do your ALEKS work outside LockDown Browser and placement tests.
- Either way, try the free tier on one real topic before you pay.
