Khan Academy answers, right in the exercise
Canvas Quiz Solver shows an answer inside Khan Academy exercises, quizzes, unit tests and course challenges, right under the question. You pick or type it and click Check yourself. For students 13 and older.
Khan Academy answers in the exercise you are on
No copying the question into a chatbot, no answer list from last year.
Canvas Quiz Solver reads the Khan Academy question on your screen and shows an AI answer right under it.
Khan Academy draws its math with special rendering, so a question copied into another tab often loses its fractions, exponents and square roots. Here nothing is copied. The extension reads the question as Khan Academy shows it, with your numbers, and the answer appears below.
Discreet mode is on by default: a small icon sits under each question, and the answer shows only when you click it. Turn discreet mode off in the popup and you get a Get Answer button instead. When Khan Academy moves you to the next question, the next question gets its own answer.
Answers come from AI, so read them like a second opinion from a smart classmate. They can be wrong, and you are the one who enters the answer and clicks Check.
How it works on Khan Academy, in three steps
About a minute: add the extension, open an exercise, click the icon once.
-
Add Canvas Quiz Solver to Chrome on your laptop
It is the same free extension Canvas students use. Pin it so the icon stays in your toolbar.
-
Open a Khan Academy exercise, quiz or unit test
Sign in to Khan Academy the way you always do and open a question.
-
Click the extension icon once
Answers turn on in that tab at once. In the popup, tap "Keep it on for this site" so it is on next time. Click the small icon under the question, then enter the answer and click Check.
Khan Academy math, grammar and more: the question types it reads
This is what the extension reads on Khan Academy today.
Reads
- Multiple choice
- Select all that apply
- Number boxes
- Math input (expressions)
- Drop-downs
- Several blanks in one question
Any subject
Math, grammar, reading, history and science questions in these forms. It reads fractions, exponents and roots as Khan Academy shows them. More on the Khan Academy math page.
Not promised yet
Graphs, number lines and drag-and-drop widgets. We have not checked them on live pages, so we do not claim them.
Off on purpose: proctored pages get nothing.
What mastery means before you use it on a test
Khan Academy tracks each skill at five levels: Not started, Attempted, Familiar, Proficient and Mastered.
Only Proficient and Mastered skills count toward your course and unit mastery percentage, and exercises, quizzes, unit tests and course challenges can all move a skill up or down (Khan Academy on course and unit mastery). A unit test with outside help can lift skills you have not learned yet, and the next exercise on that skill can drop them again.
Course challenges are a one-way door. Khan Academy says they cannot be restarted once you start one (Khan Academy on Retake). Mastery challenges are short: six questions on three skills you have already practiced, in math courses (Khan Academy on mastery challenges).
At a glance
- Practice exercises
- Quizzes and unit tests
- Course challenges

- Proctored pages (LockDown Browser, Respondus Monitor, Proctorio, Honorlock)
You stay in control: not a Khan Academy bot
It shows you the answer and stops there. Nothing is entered, checked, skipped or submitted for you.
It shows, you enter
The answer appears under the question. You pick the choice or type into the Khan Academy box, the same way you would without it.
Nothing runs on its own
An auto answer bot clicks through a unit by itself. If it gets one wrong, the miss is on your record before you see it. Here every Check is yours.
You can check it
Because you read each answer before you enter it, you catch the odd one that looks off, and you see the method before the unit test.
Where it does not run
It stays off on proctored pages. It gets around nothing.
Proctored pages
If a page shows the marks of LockDown Browser, Respondus Monitor, Proctorio or Honorlock, the extension turns off and nothing shows. Read does LockDown Browser record you before a proctored test. For what Khan Academy itself logs, read can Khan Academy detect cheating.
Khan Academy's own help
Hints and Khanmigo, Khan Academy's AI tutor, are Khan Academy features. The extension does not use them or change them; its answer is separate, under the question. On a question type it does not read yet, it shows one quiet line instead of an answer.

Why not an answer-revealer script or an answer key?
Because scripts break and keys do not match your question.
Answer-revealer scripts
Free userscripts and GitHub projects such as Khanware mostly work by reading the answer out of the data Khan Academy sends to the page. When Khan changes that data, they stop working until someone fixes them, and you install code from a stranger.
Answer keys and old lists
Khan Academy lets teachers give each student a different question set (Khan Academy teacher help), so a list from a classmate or last year often shows the method with the wrong values.
The answer in the page
Canvas Quiz Solver reads the question you have open, with your numbers, and shows the answer under it. It does not depend on Khan's hidden data.

Questions about Khan Academy answers
How do I get answers on Khan Academy?
Add Canvas Quiz Solver to Chrome, open a Khan Academy exercise and click the extension icon once. Answers turn on in that tab, and the popup offers "Keep it on for this site". Click the small icon under the question to see the answer, then enter it and click Check.
Does it work on Khan Academy unit tests?
Yes, along with exercises, quizzes, course challenges and mastery challenges. Unit tests change your skill levels, so a skill you pass with help counts as Proficient even if you have not learned it yet.
Does it work on course challenges?
Yes. Think first: Khan Academy says a course challenge cannot be restarted once you start it, and it moves skill levels across the whole course.
Does it work for Khan Academy grammar and reading?
Yes. It reads the question text and the answer choices, so grammar, reading, history and science questions with choices or a typed answer work the same way as math.
Does it click Check for me?
No. The answer shows under the question. You pick or type it in Khan Academy and click Check yourself. It never enters, checks or skips anything for you.
Can my teacher see that I use it?
Khan Academy's teacher reports show your scores, your answer on each question, your learning time, your skill levels and when you used Start over. Khan's help pages describe no tab or screen log. Our guide on cheating on Khan Academy covers what teachers see.
Is there a Khan Academy answer key?
Not one that matches your screen. Teachers can give each student a different question set, so a posted list rarely fits your question. The extension answers the question you have open.
Is it the same subscription as Canvas?
Yes. One account and one plan cover Khan Academy, Canvas quizzes, McGraw Hill, ALEKS, Pearson MyLab and the other platforms we read.
Is it free?
You can add it free and try it with free answers. Free answers can run out mid-assignment. Unlimited is $14.99 a month or $48.99 for a 4-month semester.
