Is Apex Vision AI legit? What we checked
Yes. It is a real product that does what its listing says. On 2026-10-02 its Chrome Web Store listing said it was "Created by the owner of the listed website" and that the publisher "has a good record with no history of violations". It showed a Featured badge, 7,000 users, 4.9 stars from 2K ratings, and version 6.0.13, updated September 30, 2026.
EdTech Impact lists it as founded in 2022 in the United States. A Unite.AI review from August 2026 called it "a useful Chrome extension" and noted that the free plan's daily requests "disappear fast" if you study for more than one class.
Its pricing page says "50,000+ Students"; the store listing counts Chrome users only, and the app also runs on iOS and Android. Its Canvas page claims "90%+" accuracy, which we could not check, and also says "AI answers can be wrong". That is true of every AI tool, Canvas Quiz Solver included.
How Apex Vision AI works on a Canvas quiz

What Apex Vision AI says about detection and proctored quizzes
Apex Vision's Canvas page lists "Discreet Operation" as a feature, described as study help "without creating a dedicated Apex activity entry in Canvas or bypassing Canvas safeguards", and gives keyboard shortcuts to hide its buttons and answers. The same page tells students to "never use it during a closed-book or proctored assessment" and to check their school's academic integrity policy first.
What Canvas records is the same for every extension. The Classic Quizzes log shows "Stopped viewing the Canvas quiz-taking page" when you leave the quiz tab, and "Resumed" when you return (Instructure quiz log guide). Those events carry no data, so the log never names the site (Canvas quiz events API). A web page also cannot list your Chrome extensions.
