IXL answers, right under the question
Canvas Quiz Solver shows an answer under each IXL practice question, in the same tab. It reads math, language arts, science, social studies and Spanish skills, and you pick or type the answer and press Submit yourself.
IXL answers show up under each question
The answer comes to the practice page you are already on, not the other way round.
Canvas Quiz Solver reads the IXL question on your screen and shows an AI answer right under it.
IXL draws its math and its graphs with its own layout, so copying a question into a chatbot means retyping fractions, exponents and the points on a grid. Here nothing is copied. The extension reads the question as IXL shows it, with your numbers, and the answer appears below the question text.
Discreet mode is on by default: a small icon sits under each question, and the answer shows right there when you click it. Turn discreet mode off in the popup and you get a Get Answer button instead. When you press Submit and IXL gives you the next question, the new question gets its own icon.
Answers come from AI, so read them like a second opinion from a smart classmate. They can be wrong, and you are the one who picks, types and submits.
How it works on IXL, in three steps
About a minute: add the extension, open a skill, then click the icon once.
-
Add Canvas Quiz Solver to Chrome on your laptop
It is the same free extension Canvas students use. Pin it so the icon stays in your toolbar.
-
Open an IXL skill on a question
Any practice skill on ixl.com under math, language arts, science, social studies or Spanish.
-
Click the toolbar icon once
Answers turn on in that tab at once. Tap "Keep it on for this site" in the popup so it stays on next time. Then pick or type the answer and submit.
Boxes, tiles, ordering, sorting and graphs
IXL has many answer layouts. This is what the extension reads today.
Reads
- Fill-in boxes, one or many
- One-choice tiles
- Select-all tiles
- Symbol pad answers
- Fractions and mixed numbers
- Put items in order
- Sort items into groups
- Drop-downs and choice grids
- Punctuation and word tiles
- Pictures in the question
Graphs and number lines
The card says what to draw: the points to plot, two points on the line, or each endpoint with an open or closed circle and the way the shading goes. You draw it with the IXL tool.
Other layouts are read as text, and the card answers each part in order.
Not here
The IXL Diagnostic and pages outside skill practice.
Off on purpose: LockDown Browser, Respondus Monitor, Proctorio and Honorlock pages get nothing.
Why "IXL A.1 answers" never match
A code like A.1, H.1 or S.8 is a place in one grade's skill list, not one question.
The same code names a different skill in each grade, and inside one skill IXL keeps making new questions. IXL's help center says there are over 17,000 skills and "unlimited computer-generated questions" (IXL: How many questions are there?). So a list of answers for a code, from a video or a forum, answers someone else's questions.
That is why the card reads the question itself, not a code. Whatever skill you are on, it answers the numbers and words on your screen. The most searched skills get worked methods on our IXL math answers and IXL language arts answers pages.
At a glance
- Reads the question on your screen
- Works on any practice skill code
- Algebra, geometry, trig and more
- Language arts passages and tiles
- Answer lists for a code
Check before you press Submit
On IXL, a wrong answer costs more than the question.
IXL says the SmartScore starts at 0, goes up when you answer correctly and goes down when you miss, and that it weighs the number of questions, their difficulty and your consistency, not only the percent right. 80 is proficient, 90 is excellent and 100 is mastery (IXL: How does the SmartScore work?).
After 90 in math and language arts you are in the Challenge Zone, with the hardest questions in the skill. That is where one miss hurts most. With the answer under the question you can compare it with your own before you submit, and catch a slip. How the score moves, and what "Sorry, incorrect" means, is in our IXL SmartScore guide.
The SmartScore, from IXL's help
- Starts at 0 in every skill
- 80 proficient, 90 excellent
- 100 means the skill is mastered
- Challenge Zone after 90
- No score is promised here
You stay in control: no auto-answer bot, on purpose
It shows you the answer and stops there. Nothing is clicked, typed or submitted on IXL for you.
It shows, you answer
The answer appears under the question. You click the tile, fill the box or drag the items, and you press Submit, the same way you would without it.
Nothing runs on its own
IXL auto-answer scripts and bots fill in and submit by themselves, at a pace no person keeps, and IXL's terms of service ban software that takes autonomous or semi-autonomous action on IXL. This extension takes no action on the page.
You can check it
Because you read each answer before you enter it, you catch the odd one that looks off, and you see the method before a quiz in class.
Where it does not run
It reads IXL practice skills. It stays off on proctored pages, and it gets around nothing.
Proctored pages
When a page carries the marks of LockDown Browser, Respondus Monitor, Proctorio or Honorlock, the extension turns off and shows nothing. It gets around nothing, and it does not hide from anything. More in does LockDown Browser record you. For what IXL itself logs, read can IXL detect cheating.
The Diagnostic and other pages
It works on practice pages under math, language arts, science, social studies and Spanish on ixl.com. The Diagnostic and other pages outside skill practice get nothing. Practice signed in to your own account: IXL says results are not saved when students do not sign in (IXL help).

Why not a ChatGPT tab, inspect element or a Quizlet set?
Because IXL makes a new question each time, and it keeps your real answers.
Answer keys and Quizlet sets
IXL questions are computer-generated, so a set from another student has other numbers and other words. The method may help; the answers rarely fit.
Inspect element videos
Inspect element changes what your own screen shows. It does not change what IXL records: the Questions Log keeps the answer you really submitted next to the right one.
The answer in the page
A chatbot tab means retyping fractions and describing graphs. Canvas Quiz Solver reads your question where it already is and shows the answer under it.

Questions about IXL answers
Does it answer IXL for me?
No. It shows the answer under the question, and you pick the tile or type the answer and press Submit yourself. It never clicks, types or submits anything on IXL, and it does not move to the next question.
How do I get answers on IXL?
Add Canvas Quiz Solver to Chrome, open an IXL practice skill and click the extension icon once. Answers turn on in that tab at once. In the popup, tap "Keep it on for this site" so it stays on next time.
Is there an IXL answer key?
Not one that matches your question. IXL says its questions are computer-generated and unlimited, so a posted answer key or a Quizlet set answers a different question. Canvas Quiz Solver reads the question on your screen.
Which IXL subjects does it work on?
Practice skills in math, language arts, science, social studies and Spanish on ixl.com. It reads fill-in boxes, one-choice and select-all tiles, the symbol pad, ordering, sorting and graphs, and reads other layouts as text.
Does it work on the IXL Diagnostic?
No. It reads the practice skills only. The Diagnostic and other pages outside skill practice get nothing, and it stays off on proctored pages such as LockDown Browser, Respondus Monitor, Proctorio and Honorlock.
Can my teacher see it?
Your teacher sees your IXL work through IXL Analytics: the Questions Log lists every question, your answer and the right answer, with your SmartScore and time spent. The extension does not change what IXL records. Our guide on how to cheat on IXL covers what teachers see.
Will it get me a higher SmartScore?
We promise no score. You can check an answer before you press Submit, but you still answer every question, the answer can be wrong, and IXL decides the SmartScore.
Is it the same subscription as Canvas?
Yes. One account and one plan cover IXL, Canvas quizzes, McGraw Hill, ALEKS, Pearson MyLab, Khan Academy, MyOpenMath and Google Forms quizzes.
Is it free?
You can add it free and try it with free answers. Free answers can run out mid-assignment. Unlimited is $14.99 a month or $48.99 for a 4-month semester.
